Yvonne works for the Civil Service where she is co-lead of the East and South East Asian (ESEA) Group within the Department of Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy (BEIS). Yvonne is committed to creating a safe space for the ESEA community within the Civil Service.

Anti-Asian rhetoric has always been a part of her life, but following the increased awareness of Anti-Asian hate crimes and attacks amidst the COVID-19 pandemic and the recent Atlanta shootings, Yvonne is keen to kickstart the conversation on #StopAsianHate. She strives to raise the much-needed awareness to the rise in Anti-Asian hate crimes that have been happening now and to the ESEA community throughout the years but also to celebrate the rich diversity in all our different cultures.
